Q. Who is My Coast Realty?

A. My Coast Realty is a new and innovative real estate agency specialising in residential sales only. It was established and is operated by Directors - Carolyn and Nigel Dutton.  

 

Q. What areas does My Coast Realty cover?

A. Our new office opened in April 2015 at 68 Best Street, Devonport  – we specialise in Hawley Beach, Port Sorell, Shearwater, Wesley Vale, Latrobe, Devonport, East Devonport, Spreyton, Acacia Hills, Tarleton, Forth and Leith and surrounding areas.  If in doubt, just ask us!

 

Q. How long has My Coast Realty been around?

A. Established in 2015.  Carolyn Dutton has been selling since the beginning of 2001 on the Gold Coast and moved back to Tasmania in 2009.  Carolyn is a multi-award winning Property Consultant across the North West Coast of Tasmania.

 

Q. Why would I go to a small company when there are big franchise names around?

A. Simple – one on one service. Carolyn says “I get to know all my vendors personally, know there circumstances and plans, know there properties inside out and will personally hold your hand through the whole sales process.  Simply, the buck stops with me! “


Q.  Are they accredited?

A. Carolyn Dutton has a full manager’s license (licensed real estate agents license) and registered through the Property Agents Board in Tasmania.  My Coast Realty is a member of the REIT.  

 

Q. Why are they different to everyone else?

A. Carolyn and Nigel are passionate about what they do. Nigel has been involved with the audio visual industry for most of his life and specialises in videography, photography and has worked with some of the largest corporate clients worldwide with conferencing, trade shows, major events, tv commercials and happy snaps.  This is a unique opportunity for a vendor to get the absolute best technical services available from a local person that has previously travelled the world with his expertise.  

 

Q. Will this boutique type agency get my property out to the mainland and beyond?

A. Absolutely!  Particularly having our own in house edit suite being able to create all media inhouse is without peer for us.  Having worked for National and International agencies, this really won’t help – no one is going to walk into an agency in Sydney, Auckland etc to buy your home in Devonport – my experience shows this.

 

Q. What do you offer and who does what?

A.  Carolyn Dutton Principal – appraise, list, sell, attend open homes, negotiate, creative write up and presentation, liaison with solicitors, banks and all general communications.   Nigel Dutton – erect signage, photography, videography, IT, technical support and can arrange general maintenance for properties if interstate or incapacitated vendors.  Together with a great team of admin sales and support including Taneille, Ann, Whitney and Renae.

 

Q. How is My Coast Realty’s marketing presentation different?

A.  We only use the latest high end digital photography and our video production is the highest quality “real time”.  Over the years we know buyers like the feel of “being at the property” – it’s especially difficult when you’re on the mainland or a long way from the home you’re interested in and even though photos give you an idea, so does a floor plan or virtual tour, but video opens another dimension. You can see the waves rolling in, the birds flying by, the leaves on the trees blowing gently – the only sight not enlightened is the sense of smell! Well we have to leave something to experience once you inspect!

 

Q. Can I get even more coverage with marketing?

A. Absolutely! We’ve tailored our packages to suit each property style – through trial and error over the years we know what works, however, working for ourselves, we have the capacity to offer many extras to suit your style and target market – there are many more optional extras, some at cost, some free of charge.
